SPI Coatings Pte Ltd was founded in 2003 to supply of coatings to a niche segment of the marine industry. It started with the supply of grease and coating for corrosion prevention. Since then, it has grown to cover larger areas including high performance marine epoxy which is widely used on board of vessels, barges, bridges, helicopter paxs pipelines and many other applications that need it to seal the crack, damaged metal parts resulted from wear and tear and corrosion.

In 2006, SPI was awarded the distributorship of Militec-1 for Singapore and regional markets. Militec-1, a Synthetic Metal Conditioner, on board ships for main engines and generator sets. It seals up the pores in the engines to restore to their original conditions and hence allows them to experience their original performance, lowering friction and temperature in the engines and save fuel as much as up to 15%, besides extending the useful lives of the assets. The mission of the company is to partner with our clients to lower their maintenance cost in the long run. It is environmentally friendly as its usage will signifi cantly bring down carbon dioxide remission. Other products carried by the company include marine spare parts.

SPI is pleased in partnering with shipping, oil rig and concession companies to help addressing corrosion, cost saving issues and to provide better quality services to the marine community and the like at large.
